Employability Coaching Programmes
Our standard Employability Programme runs for 14 weeks and consists of weekly group and 1-2-1 sessions. Each programme can run as an individual module; that means Joe Britto & Associates can provide Employability Programmes that run at varying lengths and costs, to suit your individual needs.

The Modules

1. Getting Started… The Thought Behind the Action
How does the way we think affect the life we live? If we change our thoughts, would we change our lives? Through discussion and practical exercises participants explore the world their thoughts have created.

2. Tools for Problem Solving
There are lots of ways to solve problems. This very practical approach gives participants a chance to learn, practise and implement a problem-solving model with an ultimate aim of getting in to employment.

3. Confidence & How to Get It
This session explores the nature of confidence. Why do some people appear confident while others are shrinking violets? If we consider ourselves to have low confidence how does that hinder the process of getting a job and what can we do to change?

4. Body Language
Even before we open our mouths, we’re talking. In this module we’ll offer delegates tools and techniques to help them deliver the message that is most useful for them. The session will give delegates an edge in difficult situations like interviews.

5. Obstacles to Motivation
Knowing what to do to get back in to employment, or to get in to employment for the first time is one thing. Doing it… well you know. This workshop looks at why we aren’t doing those things we say we want to. Through practical techniques we look at ways to gain and maintain motivation around employment.

6. Getting off Benefits
This module explores the myth that getting a job will leave you worse off than being on benefits. With clear and up to date information, we’ll show delegates how they can make sure getting a job won’t put them in financial jeopardy.

7. Why Does This Always Happen to Me?
Like the saying goes, “If we keep doing what we’re doing, we’ll get more of what we’ve got” — so how do we find the courage to do something different? This session looks at habits and behavioural patterns that are stopping delegates moving forward.

8. Applying for Jobs
It’s not just about reading newspapers and surfing the net. This session explores the most effective and appropriate job search tools and techniques to help delegates stay ahead of the competition.

9. Interview Skills: Preparation & Practise
Ever have that blank moment in an interview when you’re just not sure what to say? The aim of this module is to make sure it doesn’t happen to our delegates.

10. Time Management
CVs are going out, replies are coming in and there’s still so much to do. In this module we’ll look at keeping on top of it all and offer some simple techniques to keep delegates at their most effective.

11. Planning for Success
Without a map, how would we ever get there? This module looks at some effective planning strategies for delegates to come up with their own plan for employment success.

12. Overcoming Motivation Killers
This session builds on the previous motivation for employment session by anticipating future motivational killers and equipping delegates with tools for sustained success.

13. Being Your Own Coach
In this module, we’ll reveal the tricks of the trade and help delegates coach themselves.

14. What Happens Now?
And to keep good habits going, this module looks ahead to how delegates can support each other to keep the gains they’ve made in the programme.

  • Practice interviews
  • “Dress for Success” shopping trip
